I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the coming school year, which surely promises to bring with it many new experiences and opportunities. It is my goal to help all of my students become confident learners. This will be achieved through the use of curriculum differentiation, hands-on learning, and the use of technology. Your student will be able to demonstrate his or her knowledge via choice based projects, collaborative grouping, and many 21st Century tools such as Voicethread, Promethean Boards, blogs, etc. I am certain that together we can provide the support and encouragement needed to help your child excel as a 5th grader.

There is a soccer ball because i play soccer and it is my favorite sport. I am on a beach because i am going to Florida this summer and i hope we get to go to the beach. Avatar Taylor M. :)
My Avatar is based off of me. I put the Irish hat because I am part Irish. I put the clothes because these are the sort of clothes that I wear. I am actually wearing a tanktop like my avatar's as I am typing this. I am at the disco because I like to dance and I put the coffee because i'm always hyper. Thats ME in cartoon form for ya.

What a bunch of Turkeys!
This is hilarious! I brought in two turkey legs for my science group to explore... they thought it was the coolest thing until it came time to touch them. Ha ha kids. Gotta love them!
K-9 "Kraziness"
Earlier in the year we read the story "Areo and Officer Mike". This story tells about how a police officer works side-by-side with his K-9 dog. At the time we read the story, our school resource officer came to talk to us about his job and how dogs are used in the police force. This week, the K-9 officers were able to bring their dogs for more conversation and demonstration. This was a great way for our students to connect with their community.... they absolutely loved it!
